BECOME A SCOUT
Scouting is a very demanding job and we want only the top experienced professionals available associated with Bird Dog Scout ®. You must be comfortable talking to a wide range of people in a variety of settings.
Scouting and providing services to student athletes and their families is rewarding and challenging.people with a genuine desire to help high school student athletes realize their dreams of participating in college athletics; self-starters with a strong work ethic.
Some qualities you must already have before applying are
Analytical background ability to observe talent, personality and character. We focus on the five tools of baseball, player traits and player trends
Do not have be a certified teacher; however, must have the ability to convey a message
Must know the rules and regulations inside and out or know where to reference as an Advisor
Not all student athletes are the same and do not follow a typical “model”; you must have the ability to listen to parents and student athletes and be part of the solution
Must communicate clearly and honestly
The Scouts work occurs late in the afternoon or early evening and on the weekends. Morning and early afternoon work involves networking for existing clients, such as reviewing profiles or making contact with high school, travel coaches or league associations.
Our scouts are independent contractors, you determine your hours and income. If you work hard enough and get results, you can excel past your own expectations.
